Second Steps in Beekeeping

$35This three-part online course will cover the next steps in Beekeeping. Geared for individuals who have had their bees for at least a spring and are looking at their first winter. We will cover diseases and pests of honey bees, how to monitor and manage Varroa Mites, signs and symptoms of stress and how to manage it in the hive, re- queening and splitting hives, and honey production.
Classes will take place Monday and Wednesdays, 6-8pm via Zoom on October 17, 19, and 26.
October 17 – Biology Recap, Signs of Stress, Queen Health, How to Re-queen & Preparing for Winter, Nutrition and Feeding
October 19 – Other Diseases & Pests of Honey Bee Hives
October 26 – Varroa Mite Monitoring How To & Varroa Mite Management Bee Nutrition and Honey Production
