Beekeeping 101 is an opportunity to learn all the basics to get started beekeeping. This course is geared for the beginner beekeeper – those will little to absolutely no knowledge.
This course is very hands on, with countless examples and opportunities to touch and handle the beekeeping equipment and bees.
Topics Covered:
- Honey Bee Biology
- Beekeeping Equipment
- Setting Up Your Apiary
- Overview of Diseases and Pest of Honey Bees
You will receive a packet with beekeeping catalogs, factsheets, and other useful literature.
Earlybird registration before March 29, 2024 – $60.00!
Late Registration, March 30 – April 11, 2024 – $75.00.
This course consists of a Classroom Portion (April 12, 2024)
- Lunch is provided April 12th!
Optional Field Day, (specific dates of attendance determined prior to event).
- Attendees MUST be 15 or older to attend the Field Day.
- Waiver (to be downloaded) required
Beekeeping suits and gloves are provided.
Must complete a waiver to participate in the field day. Ages 15 and up only allowed at field day.
